The Globe Getter Featured on Mighty Travels

One of the things I love about being a new travel blogger is connecting with other travelers and sharing my travel experiences with those who are interested. So, as you can imagine, I was ecstatic to be contacted by the lovely team over at Mighty Travels to talk about all things travel. Why wouldn't I want to speak about something I love?

As part of their new interview series, we covered everything from the top five places on my travel bucket list, to my most rewarding travel situation, to how I got started with travel writing. It was a joy to answer every single question. Big thanks to Mighty Travels for the feature!

Here is a preview of the interview:

What was the most rewarding travel situation you encountered?
Traveling in Asia by myself felt really rewarding because I went into it really nervous. I worried about how the experience would be as a woman and person of color traveling alone. Along the way, I hit a few bumps in the road, but I tackled them head on and ended up having the most amazing time. I met some great people and felt way more empowered afterwards.

What is your worst travel pet peeve?
People who always want to stick to what they know when they travel. Why travel if you’re not interested in stretching yourself?

What was the most complicated flight itinerary you have ever booked?
Definitely when I went to South Africa, London and Stockholm in one trip. The itinerary involved a multi-stop flight with a layover, a round trip flight and three one-way flights: New York to London to Johannesburg to Nelspruit to Cape Town to Johannesburg to London to Stockholm to London to New York!
