Travel Motto: Travel as much as you can as often as you can. Experiences are way more valuable than things.

Favorite Travel Destinations: Eeek, I always get stumped on this question. Jamaica, of course. My family is from the island so I’m admittedly bias. There’s no place quite like home. I recently traveled to Croatia, and I LOVE it there — people, food, weather, Adriatic Sea ... it’s an undiscovered European destination on the brink of major exposure! I adore London, Paris suits my lifestyle and my name is Greek so I have a special affection for Greek culture  scrumptious Mediterranean cuisine and those desirable islands included. Costa Rica, Belize, Panama, Colombia, New Orleans and the America West — clearly I have a grip of favorites. The thing is, I find beauty in every destination I visit, whether it’s across the pond or right in my backyard. I sincerely appreciate globetrotting.

What Makes Her Want to See the Globe: Living makes me want to see the globe. The more I live, the more I want to travel. I was exposed to globetrotting very early on in life. My mother loves to travel. I’m the princess of this globetrotting thing, but she’s definitely the queen. She always encouraged me to go, explore, see the world, experience other cultures and be inspired in new ways. Having that support plays a major part in my desire to jet set, and fearlessly at that. I’ve hit the road solo a few times and would do it again.

Ultimate Bucket List Trip: Cambodia. I’m going this year, solo if my travel partners front. Thailand and Bali need to happen concurrently. I recently told my girlfriend over kimchi that I need to make it to the continent but on a mission trip of some sort so I can spend at least six months there. She laughed but knew I was dead serious. I am. Africa for a week or two just doesn’t seem right.

Best Way to Maximize Vacation Days: I've been an independent contractor for a large portion of my career, so thankfully I haven’t had to deal with this too much. However, when I was a full-time, on-staff employee, I would take quick trips to destinations that weren’t too far from NYC. If time is tight, plan 48-72 hour getaways and have an itinerary of what you want to see, eat, do, experience, etc. to ensure you make the most of your time. Last fall, I spent a long weekend in Boston — it was amazing! If you can, save the bulk of your vacation days for one or two big trips a year and take your travels across the globe.

Advice for Those Who Want to Travel More: Just do it. The more you go, the more you will want to go. Also, read and subscribe to globetrottingstiletto.com. My team and I are committed to inspiring people to travel. From cruising to island hopping to glamping, we cover it all and we do it in style.
