Growing up in Florida, I dealt with two types of weather: ridiculously hot and pleasantly warm. It wasn’t until I moved up to New York that I began to experience seasons. I don’t even think I had seen leaves change colors before my first year in New York, and now I can say that fall is, without a doubt, my favorite season. In fact, I’ve written before about where to experience fall in New York.
I love how crisp and brisk the air gets, and I love seeing the wind stir the leaves around until they tumble and twirl around each other. No matter where I am in the world, fall brings me immense happiness. Most recently, I got to experience a bit of fall (very cold fall) in Toronto, Canada, and it made me think about where else I’ve seen the leaves change colors. Admittedly, there are so many places I have NOT experienced fall that I’d like to (I’m looking at you, Vermont, Massachusetts and about 10 cities in Europe), but until then, these are my all-time favorite fall photos, all of which are from New York, London and Toronto:
